Aberdeen, Phoenix launch bridge financing strategy
Aberdeen Standard Investments has partnered with insurance company Phoenix Group to launch a £500m fund financing strategy.
The vehicle will primarily provide loans to early-stage private markets funds in partnership with banks, stretching between one and three years, a spokesperson said.
Aberdeen explained the new strategy comes as it looks to capture private markets illiquidity without taking on credit risk in the context of Solvency II requirements.
