Accordion acquires Merilytics
Accordion, a financial and technology consulting firm, has acquired Merilytics, a company providing analytics, data management and business intelligence reporting. The acquisition is a bid in Accordion’s strategy to provide a dedicated data and analytics platform to private equity CFOs.
Founded in 2011, Merilytics provides analytical, technical and data science-based services. To this end, the company offers data management, analytics and reporting solutions to generate insights, support decision making and drive efficiencies.
Through the deal, Accordion hopes to expand its long-term supporting capabilities and end-to-end solution, and accelerate project delivery.
“Merilytics has deep experience working, like Accordion, with private equity-backed companies, and has built a reputation as the partner of choice for data and analytics solutions,” commented Nick Leopard, CEO and founder of Accordion. “That shared understanding of how to work with both portfolio companies and their sponsors is important for overall alignment. In addition, they are fully aligned with our culture and will help further our mission to create a better way to work in finance, and in data and analytics as well. We couldn’t be more thrilled to welcome them to the Accordion family.”
“Accordion has a sterling reputation in the private equity space, with more than 250 relationships that can expand our market for analytics solutions and also strengthen our FP&A solutions,” added Paavan Choudary, Merilytics CEO and founder. “We’re excited to join forces with Accordion, not only for their market position and cultural fit between the two firms, but because our analytics expertise, technology and capabilities will truly enhance the impact Accordion has on its clients.”
Accordion is a financial and technology consulting firm, offering services for operational and technical accounting, financial planning and analysis, transaction execution, public company readiness, interim leadership, turnaround and restructuring, as well as technology services for private equity CFOs.
Previously, the company acquired Platform Specialists, an enterprise performance management consulting firm.
