Addleshaw Goddard has appointed Ben Cocoracchio to join the private funds team in London as a partner.

Cocoracchio specialises in VC, PE, real estate, infrastructure and credit fund formation, secondaries and investor representation.

Previously at Osborne Clarke, Cocoracchio advised new and existing fund managers on setting up funds in jurisdictions including the UK, Channel Islands and Luxembourg.

Prior to that, he worked in-house as senior legal counsel at real assets fund manager Nuveen for three years.

He has previously held various legal roles at Clifford Chance, Weil Gotshal & Manges, and SJ Berwin.

In his new role, Cocoracchio will join a team of 30 lawyers who operate globally across fund formation, tax, fund finance and regulation.

The appointment follows Addleshaw’s hiring of Lisa Lee Lewis in its financial services regulation team and Philip Dowsett who leads the MENA funds practice in Dubai.
