Akin Gump’s Carney joins Apollo

Apollo Global Management has appointed Brian Carney as general counsel for litigation and regulation, the firm has confirmed to The Drawdown.

He joins from Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld, where he spent the last 15 years as a bankruptcy and commercial litigator, and becoming partner in 2014. According to Bloomberg, Apollo has long-standing ties to Akin Gump having previously handled its litigation, lobbying and corporate work.
