A&L Goodbody appoints practice head

Law firm A&L Goodbody (ALG) has appointed Stephen Carson, based in Dublin, as head of the firm’s asset management and investment funds practice. He succeeds Brian McDermott who, according to the firm, will remain as a senior partner.

Carson joined ALG in 2010 as an associate and made partner five years later. Between 2018 and 2022, he served as head of the firm’s London office.

In the course of his practice, he advises on formation and authorisation of investment funds, including UCITS, hedge funds and AIFs, as well as the authorisation of AIFMs.
