Apex acquires Prometa

Apex Group has acquired Canada-based fund services business Prometa Fund Support Services, strengthening the firm’s presence in North America.

Prometa provides fund services to clients in Canada, the US and Bermuda, from its office in Winnipeg, Canada. The firm administers more than $28bn in assets for around 50 fund companies, representing more than 180 funds and 225,000 individual investors.

As part of the acquisition, Prometa’s 16 employees will join Apex, adding to its existing offices in Toronto and Ontario.
