Apex appoints India country head

Akshay Thakurdesai has joined Apex Group as country head India, based in Pune.

Previously at BNP Paribas, he spent the last two years as head of securities services India, following his two years as director, securities (equities) global markets. Prior to joining BNP Paribas in 2009 as lead business analyst & business project manager, Thakurdesai was a systems executive at KPIT.

In his new role Thakurdesai will oversee Apex’s business development and growth in India, reporting to global head of operations, Jeff Pamplin.

“I have watched Apex Group’s accelerated growth with great interest and have been especially impressed by the quality of client service,” commented Thakurdesai.
