Apex expands to Middle East
Apex Group has expanded to the Middle East, via its acquisition of UAE-based compliance and risk advisory firm Praesidium Advisory.
Praesidium’s practice enables Apex to access a variety of new clients across Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Singapore, London, the US and Switzerland. These include asset managers, family offices, financial institutions, law firms, government entities and individuals. The firm’s founder, Hari Bhambra, has been appointed global head of compliance solutions.
The deal builds on Apex’s corporate solutions business via its UK subsidiary, Throgmorton, which has been expanding geographically in recent months. In March, Throgmorton opened in the US. This was followed by launches in Jersey in April and Switzerland in June.
Following the launch of Throgmorton Compliance Solutions, the fund administrator announced earlier this month that Julie Ferguson would lead the business alongside Mel Scotland, who have both been named co-heads of the division.
