Apposite expands finance and ops
Apposite Capital has appointed Dominique Alves as finance and operations associate.
She joins from Deloitte where she worked for the past five years, most recently as an assistant manager of its audit division, where she was part of the banking and capital markets teams.
Her new role at Apposite includes fund accounting, investor relations, treasury management, portfolio monitoring, compliance reporting, ESG and impact reporting as well as group operations. “Currently, Dominique is responsible for certain tasks, with appropriate oversight and provides support on other tasks. As she gains knowledge of the finance and operations functions, responsibility for further tasks will be assigned to her,” Apposite confirmed to The Drawdown.
She reports to CFO James Harper for finance responsibilities, and operations & finance manager Julie-Anne Hughes for group operations, both of whom were promoted to their respective positions last September. The appointments followed the departure of the firm’s then head of IR and operations, Valerie Auffray, after 13 years.
Alves has a degree in business science finance and accounting and a postgraduate degree in accounting and finance, both from the University of Cape Town. She is also a registered chartered accountant with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants.
