Argentex co-CEO steps down

by Krystal Scanlon 14 June 2021

Foreign exchange provider Argentex Group’s co-CEO Carl Jani has stepped down from his role with immediate effect.

Co-CEO Harry Adams has taken over as sole CEO. In a trading update in January this year, Argentex announced that Jani was taking a leave of absence due to health reasons.

In a statement about the transition, Lord Digby Jones, chair of Argentex said, “On behalf of the board, I’d like to thank Carl for his significant contribution to Argentex. He has overseen the group’s growth story with Harry from its very beginning, culminating in the successful IPO in 2019 and the leading position it commands in the FX market today. Harry will take sole responsibility of an established management team which has the depth of experience needed to fulfil the group’s growth potential and I am confident they will continue to deliver long-term value for employees, clients and shareholders alike.”

Jani co-founded Argentex with Adams in 2012.

News of Jani’s resignation comes after the firm hired Crestbridge’s Aaron Bird in May, to focus on FX execution and hedging strategies for clients across private equity, corporate, real estate, insurance and infrastructure.
