by Krystal Scanlon 29 September 2021

Aurelius Equity Opportunities has promoted Richard Schulze-Muth to CFO.

Schulze-Muth joined the firm in 2015 as managing director of corporate finance and has since headed up the firm’s corporate finance team, while also being responsible for the issuance of various company bonds. Prior to Aurelius, he spent two years as first vice president at Bayerische Landesbank, and five-and-a-half years as a senior associate at law firm Ashurst.

In his new role as CFO, Schulze-Muth leads the group finance function and is responsible for accounting, auditing, controlling, corporate finance, tax and special financing of portfolio companies. He has also joined the firm’s leadership team.

“I am delighted and thankful to join the leadership team at Aurelius as new CFO and I look forward to working with the team and especially with the finance department,” commented Schulze-Muth. “For me, the focus is on the people within the Aurelius universe, improving transparency and communication, accelerating growth and enhancing value for shareholders and all stakeholders.”
