by Krystal Scanlon 6 November 2020

Aztec Group has announced five promotions to its leadership team across its Jersey, Guernsey and Luxembourg offices.

Reshentha Beeby has been promoted to director in the firm’s Jersey office. She joined the firm in 2014 and has risen through the ranks from client relationship manager to her current position. In her new role, Beeby oversees the provision of administration, financial reporting, compliance and other services to Aztec private equity clients. She will also support the development of Aztec’s offering and client base in the European mid-market sector.

Karen McSorley has also been named director in Jersey, having been with the firm since 2014. In her new role, she will co-lead an 80 person team which manages the administration of the firm’s largest European fund manager clients, across a number of its secondary fund of fund structures. She is also involved in the development and implementation of several core controls and procedures within Aztec.

Additionally in Jersey, Glenn Boddie has been promoted to associate director. He initially joined the firm in 2016 as client relationship manager. Boddie is responsible for overseeing a number of Aztec’s key mid-market client relationships.

In Guernsey, Matt Chick has been named director. He joined Aztec in 2013 as a senior financial reporting manager, where he was in charge of fund accounting requirements for various PE clients. In his new role, Chick will lead core PE operations, including administration, accounting and other outsourcing services as well as client relationship and development activities to PE and VC clients in the jurisdiction. He also serves as a non-executive director on a number of his clients’ boards, and is involved with the ongoing development, management and growth of Aztec’s Guernsey office.

In Luxembourg, Oana Lazar has been promoted to associate director. She initially joined Aztec in 2012 as a junior accountant, and has since been promoted seven times. Lazar is the senior relationship lead for multiple PE and VC clients in the country.

According to Matt Horton, group head of private equity at Aztec, these professionals will play a significant, strategic role in the firm’s plans for the private equity business in the next few years.
