BVCA publishes D&I guidelines

by Krystal Scanlon 12 February 2021

The BVCA has published diversity & inclusion guidelines for private equity and venture capital investors.

The Guidance and best practice examples for VCs, private equity and institutional investors document aims to help increase investment in under-represented founders and drive diversity and returns across the industry. It focuses on four key areas:

  1. Talent acquisition, retention and development
  2. Internal education, culture and policy
  3. Outreach, access to dealflow, and unconscious investment bias
  4. Influence, external guidance and portfolio management

Put together by several organisations including Atomico, Pollen Street Capital, Ada Ventures, Adelpha, Astia, KPMG, Diversity VC and Diversio, the guidelines are a resource for all fund managers, irrespective of stage or sector they invest in.
