Capital call levels greater than distributions

For the first time since 2011, capital distributions levels to PE investors were smaller than capital calls to finance new deals, according to Triago.

According to the latest Triago Quarterly, the biggest impact of Covid-19 in 2020 on PE was slowing the pace of exiting investments.

Said the report, “As PE groups stepped back from portfolio company sales processes, evaluated the vulnerabilities of their portfolio companies and shored up their finances, the number of exits dropped sharply.
