Caplight launches valuations platform

by Matthias Plötz 5 January 2023

Caplight Technologies has launched Caplight Data, a tool designed to track venture-backed private company prices, valuations and trading activity, with the aim of improving transparency in the private secondary markets.

The Caplight Data platform will provide access to a dataset of more than 10,000 transactional data points of private companies, representative of over $170bn in value. Additionally, the company claims to have made more than 20,000 investment fund marks of private company stock prices available.

According to Caplight, the tool also includes an algorithm that allows for near real-time tracking of private company prices.
