Cathay Capital appoints chief impact officer

Cathay Capital has named former CEO of Michelin Ventures, Matthieu van der Elst, as its first chief impact officer.

The appointment is part of Cathay’s broader plans to assess, measure, consolidate and develop its ESG footprint and impact strategy. Cathay is a global investment firm, supporting companies at all stages throughout North America, Asia, Europe and Africa. It was founded in 2007 and manages nearly $4bn in assets, having completed 150 buyouts, growth and venture investments.
