Private equity is an industry that very much relies on a universe of service providers as the firms prefer to work within small and lean teams, dedicated to the core of their business model, the investments. Good service from a supplier is sometimes taken for granted and “softer” rewards for service providers – recognition for going above and beyond the call of duty, praise from one’s clients or a simple “thanks” – can sometimes be missing.
