Comment: NAV facilities: Talk turns to action

Despite high levels of enquiries and much discussion around the advantages of these loans, we are only aware of 15 NAV facilities closed by buyout funds this year. While the number of transactions in this space has increased because of Covid-19, the total volume of deals remains lower than expected. GPs have expressed concerns around repayment risk; wanting to avoid the fire sale of their assets to repay these facilities.
