Comment: The future of ESG

To do ESG well, it requires data. To do data well, it requires technology.

The first key step to achieving a robust ESG practice is to first understand what the ESG strategy should be. Once a policy is in place, the next step is to consider how you integrate ESG. It is key to do this in the most automated way possible, whether it’s on the basis of exclusions (not investing in certain sectors), screening (understanding an asset’s ESG impacts prior to investing) or fully integrated.
