Crane appoints head of legal

Crane Venture Partners has appointed James Spencer as head of legal.

Spencer joins from NJF Capital where he was head of legal – ventures.

Prior to that, he spent eight years at Mishcon de Reya. He also has four years’ experience working as a solicitor at Pinsent Masons.

In addition, Spencer is a Newton scholar at the Newton Venture Program, a development program helping people to enter the VC industry.

In his new role, Spencer will be responsible for compliance and regulatory matters.
