Crestbridge appoints senior risk and compliance officer
Crestbridge has appointed Marie Morris as director and money laundering compliance officer (MLCO) within its group risk function.
Morris joins from Butterfield Bank where she assumed the role of money laundering reporting officer.
Her new responsibilities as MLCO will include leading the financial crime compliance team in Jersey and managing anti-financial crime risk by offering training and advice on financial crime compliance and risk.
As well ase her 25 years’ experience in the finance industry, Morris has completed International Compliance Association’s diplomas in AML and compliance, and is a certified data protection officer. She is also studying towards the diploma in managing sanctions risk.
Group chief risk officer at Crestbridge, Siân Dalrymple, said: “Marie is a highly qualified individual with a strong commitment to client service excellence, and we are excited to welcome her to the team. Her expertise and insights will be invaluable in our constant work to monitor and increase the effectiveness of our anti-financial-crime efforts.”
Crestbridge aims to provide a range of compliance and reporting services, including communication with regulators, KYC/CDD services, preparation of business risk assessment, provision of MLRO/MLCO and supporting functions, staff training programmes and compliance reviews.
The appointment follows Crestbridge’s hiring of David Bridger as head of its Southampton office in September last year.
