Debevoise appoints funds regulatory counsel

John Young, previously at Ropes & Gray, has joined Debevoise & Plimpton’s funds / investment management group as international counsel.

Based in London, Young will advise asset managers on regulatory issues including AIFMD, MiFID and EMIR.

Prior to joining Ropes & Gray in 2014, where he was counsel, Young was an associate at Dechert. Previously he was a lawyer at Barclays Capital, and before that he was an associate at Clifford Chance as well as Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Macfarlanes.
