Deus Group launches Murphy

by Matthias Plötz 7 November 2023

Deus Group, a London-based startup providing regulatory filing solutions for the private markets, has launched Murphy, a software to assist GPs with their competition law compliance.

There are currently more than 130 jurisdictions that require different variations of antitrust or merger control requirements, which need to be fulfilled as part of the M&A process. The specific rules and procedures can vary significantly from one jurisdiction to another, but they often share common principles rooted in competition law.

“Throughout my career within private equity, I have found the process for collection and presentation of the relevant data for merger control purposes has almost always been overcomplicated and inefficient,” explains the company’s founder, Varun Khullar.
