Drawbridge appoints three

by Krystal Scanlon 19 January 2022

Cyber security software provider Drawbridge has hired Bill Waters as global head of software development as well as promoted Jacob Cane to global head of strategy and client success and Darrell Tucker to head of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI).

Prior to joining Drawbridge, Waters spent four years as an independent business consultant and virtual CIO, where he acted as a technical advisor and software architect to clients. Prior to this, he was director of development at Broadway Technology. In this position, he led the global software development team which delivered a multi-asset platform powering global financial trading desks. Previously, he held various senior technology roles including director of software at Sandvine, co-founder and vice president of engineering at Simplicita Software, where he led the company through two sales, a spinout from Sandvine and a rebrand to Xerocole, prior to its acquisition by Akamai. In his new role at Drawbridge, Waters will drive the software development life cycle and launch new products.

Cane joined Drawbridge in August 2021 as head of strategy. His promotion to global head of strategy and client success expands his focus on managing global client engagement and enhancing customer experience.

Tucker joined Drawbridge in May 2021 as head of client success, and has since identified methods to enhance the overall client experience for Drawbridge platform users. His promotion to head of DEI will see Tucker design, build and lead the firm’s newly-created DEI office. He will partner with Drawbridge’s HR team and hiring managers to ensure the company promotes an inclusive culture and attracts team members from the broadest possible talent pool.

“Our incredibly talented team has been the cornerstone of Drawbridge’s success since our launch and is what enables us to deliver our market-defining software products and services and exceptional customer experiences,” commented Jason Elmer, founder and CEO of Drawbridge. “We are committed to recruiting, retaining and developing diverse talent as we continue our rapid growth by creating an open environment that fosters collaboration, performance and shared success. Formalising our office of diversity, equity and inclusion will enable us to provide a workplace that offers flexibility, focused career paths and rewards the passion our Drawbridge employees continuously display for their work.”
