ELTIF reform progresses

As part of the capital markets union (CMU) project, the European council and the European Parliament have reached a provisional agreement on the review of the regulation on European long-term investment funds (ELTIF) in order to make the funds more attractive.

According to the European Council, ELTIFs are largely unknown, “due to obstacles in its regulatory framework which we have today agreed to remove.
