ESMA updates MiFID II compliance guidelines
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has published the final guidelines on the MiFID II compliance function.
Replacing the 2012 guidelines, this final draft provides more clarity on the implementation and supervision of new MiFID II compliance function requirements.
Who is it for?
The guidelines are aimed at the following:
- Investment and credit firms providing investment services and activities
- Investment and credit firms selling or advising clients on structured deposits
- UCITS management companies and external alternative investment fund managers (AIFMs) providing investment services and activities according to the UCITS Directive and the AIFMD.
