Female leaders in PE outearning male counterparts

by Matthias Plötz 29 November 2022

Heidrick & Struggles’, 2022 Europe and Africa Private Capital Compensation Survey, found compensation in private equity has risen for operational professionals, dropped slightly for fundraising and IR staff and interestingly, female leaders have out-earned their male colleagues.

At junior level compensation is almost equal, however the survey found significant disparities at the principal level. As per the report, these are likely the consequence of insufficient policies for financial and career-building costs associated with taking parental leave.
