Golding appoints HR partner
Golding Capital has appointed Barbara Phélippeau as a partner, with the mandate to transform the firm’s HR function into a sustainable and holistic practice.
Phélippeau joins Golding after three years as chief people officer and managing director at PlanetHome, where she was responsible for leadership development and building an employer brand. Prior to that, she was global chief human resources officer and member of the board at FläktGroup. In the three years she held the position, she was – among other tasks – in charge of the HR strategy and cultural integration in the merger between DencoHappel and Fläkt Woods, which formed Fläkt Group.
“Barbara Phélippeau brings some 25 years of experience, and an enormous breadth and depth of HR expertise,” said Jeremy Golding, founder and managing partner of the firm. “This experience, the values she personifies every day and her innovative concepts make her an ideal fit for us. Competition for the best talent is becoming increasingly exciting across the entire value chain of institutional capital management. And that makes it all the more important for us to attract and retain the best possible candidates. So I am delighted that we have been able to enlist Barbara specifically to develop these areas.”
According to the firm, Phélippeau will be responsible for people and culture strategy, with a focus on leadership development, talent management, engagement and employer branding. Immediate priorities include an in-depth review of the firm’s HR systems and processes.
On her appointment, Phélippeau commented: “From the very first second, I was impressed by the authentic sense of empathy and community I felt at Golding. Golding is a very approachable and personal company, which combines qualitative growth with vast competence. Another important aspect is how systematically Golding strives to make a positive impact. This will also be an essential part of my work, because we want to do even more to encourage the existing strong social engagement of our employees, for example.”
