Halfenger joins Treliant
Alan Halfenger has joined consultancy firm Treliant as managing director of securities & investment management compliance, based in New York.
Halfenger was previously at Optima Partners where he was consulting partner and global private equity practice leader. He was responsible for delivering timely, practical and responsive regulatory advice and support to clients across various asset classes. Before this Halfenger was a partner at ACA Compliance Group where he focused on driving governance, risk and control solutions for clients across various functions, products and organisation types.
Notably, Halfenger was the global chief compliance officer at Bain Capital for 10 years. His earlier career included legal and compliance roles at various investment banks including JPMorgan Chase and Citi. With more than 25 years of experience, Halfenger has provided regulatory, risk and operational solutions to investment companies, traditional and alternative asset managers, banks, insurance companies and broker-dealers.
In his new position, he is responsible for service delivery of consulting and outsourcing support for securities compliance and financial crimes, as well as coordinating cyber, non-US, investigation and corporate compliance support.
“The landscape of securities regulation is complex, and the penalties for noncompliance continue to increase,” said Gino Ercolino, Treliant director and former enforcement director at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority. “Alan has the expertise to help our clients navigate this challenging matrix of requirements.”
