Hamilton Lane appoints CFO

Hamilton Lane has appointed Jeffrey Armbrister as CFO, to succeed Atul Varma.

Varma leaves the firm to pursue other interests, according to the press release.

Armbrister was previously the firm’s global head of direct equity. He joined Hamilton Lane in 2018 after 15 years at Versa Capital Management.

During his career, Armbrister has developed experience in transaction-based investing, operations, leading investment and financial teams, and collaborating with corporate boards to fulfil strategic objectives.

The change will come into effect as of 8 August 2023.

Hamilton Lane previously appointed Andrea Kramer as COO in May this year.
