Hamilton Lane tokenises another fund

by Silvia Saccardi 1 February 2023

A portion of Hamilton Lane’s Equity Opportunities Fund V has been tokenised on the Polygon blockchain through a Securitize feeder fund.

The tokens will be available to accredited individuals on a secondary basis, with minimum investment amounts reduced from $5m to $20,000. While this is said to help ‘democratise’ the industry, the feeder fund will only be accessible to qualified purchasers with at least $5m in invested assets.

The direct equity fund has been made available on the Securitize platform, an alternative trading system and registered investment adviser.
