Hamilton Lane’s head of operations departs
Hamilton Lane’s chief risk officer and head of global operations, Frederick Shaw, has moved to Apex to lead the fund administrator’s US business.
In his new role he will oversee 600 staff across 15 offices in the country, who provide services for domestic as well as international clients investing in the US.
According to Apex, he will work closely with group president Samir Pandiri, chief innovation officer and regional managing director Georges Archibald, and Elaine Chim, global head of closed-ended products.
Archibald noted Shaw’s “extensive buy-side experience” and how he “shares our commitment to maintaining regulatory standards while embracing new ideas and approaches”.
Shaw added: “I am excited to join Apex, drawing on my client-side experience to drive continued service excellence, innovation and growth for clients.”
During his tenure at Hamilton Lane, Shaw oversaw the company’s domestic and international regulatory compliance and risk management frameworks, along with its global operations complex. His previous professional life saw him hold senior compliance and operational roles in international banks and alternative asset management.
