iLevel’s Yiannakis joins Holland Mountain
Holland Mountain has hired iLevel founding member Kyri Yiannakis as head of client development.
Yiannakis became known in the industry as one of the early members of the team (alongside Hank Boggio) and the first employee outside North America, of iLevel Solutions, a portfolio management and analytics platform developed internally at Blackstone. The company spun out of the private equity giant in June 2010.
He joins from Vista Equity Partners’ portfolio company ComplySci, where he spent a year and a half as managing director - head of EMEA, having been hired by the PE firm to execute the EMEA portion of its value creation plan. Prior to this, Yiannakis was head of EMEA at Ipreo Private Capital Markets, which provides portfolio assessments, valuations and investment performance for the private capital industry. The firm acquired iLevel in August 2015. In this role, he was responsible for heading up the efforts around the growth and exit strategy of the business, which included the firm’s acquisition by IHS Markit in 2018. Before this, Yiannakis worked as director - UK private equity and investment banking at Capital IQ, which was later acquired by S&P. In this position he was the first person on the ground to head up key accounts strategy in Europe.
In his new role, Yiannakis will oversee all of Holland Mountain’s commercial activity. He will also expand the reach of the firm’s private capital data platform, a best-in-class tool that combines and transforms data from any source, providing a single source of truth from which private capital firms can drive all visualisation and reporting. “There is a huge need for Holland Mountain’s unique private capital data platform which solves the data challenges felt by all private capital firms,” he said.
Barnaby Piggott, Holland Mountain’s CEO, commented, “Holland Mountain has a long history of designing operating models for our clients and helping them to define their data strategy. With the addition of our private capital data platform, which has connectors to all the key private capital systems, we now also deliver solutions that solve clients’ data challenges. With Kyri’s help, we look forward to expanding our global reach and achieving our mission to accelerate the private capital industry’s journey to ‘Data as an Asset’.”
Yiannakis’ appointment follows Holland Mountain’s announcement that it had hired Grant Thornton’s Jonathan Connelly as a managing consultant in November.
