Jersey expects increased fund migration following new LP rules

by Alice Murray 20 July 2020

A new amendment to Jersey’s legislation has made it considerably easier for managers to migrate limited partnership fund structures to the jurisdiction.

The changes to the Limited Partnership (Jersey) Law 1994 have been approved by Jersey’s government and came into force on 17 July. The updated regulation has set out a new statutory basis for LPs to be migrated from other jurisdictions, providing greater legal certainty for managers and investors.
