MassMutual direct lending arms transition to Barings

by Silvia Saccardi 28 February 2023

MassMutual’s Direct Private Investments (DPI), and MassMutual Asset Finance (MMAF), are to transition to Barings, which is a subsidiary of MassMutual.

The transition aims to assist MassMutual in expanding its access to third-party institutional investors using Barings’ platform, while Barings in turn aims to provide a wider range of investment solutions to its clients.

It is significant given the strong growth of the fund finance market and an increasing appetite among LPs to find access points to private credit.
