Mercatus releases PDF data extraction tool

by Krystal Scanlon 30 July 2020

Mercatus has released a PDF data extraction tool for its data management platform, aimed at private markets.

PDF Parser is an AI and ML solution for uploading PDFs to improve data quality. It claims to alleviate challenges of data on-boarding, manual extraction of data reports, investor memos and other reporting and agreements.

The PDF Parser includes the following features:

  • Document parser templates, which enable users to leverage configurable document templates for automated data extraction
  • Batching and historical entry, to upload a batch of PDFs in one go, making it time efficient
  • Auditing and governance, to track and audit where data is coming from, how it’s being used and who uses it.
