Montagu promotes nine
Montagu has promoted several individuals across the firm’s operational functions.
Joe Stobbart has been appointed as head of tax. He joined the firm in 2018 as a senior tax manager, after working for four years at EY in a similar role.
With Akshaya Shankaran and Amit Pankhania, the firm has a new head of fund reporting and senior fund accountant respectively. Shankaran has been at Montagu since 2018, initially as a fund accountant. Prior to her time at the firm, she was a senior fund accountant at Mainspring. Pankhania’s promotion comes almost two years after he came to Montagu from UHY Hacker Young, where he was a senior auditor.
Finally, Kajivan Kanthasamy has been appointed financial reporting manager. Previously an assistant manager at Mazars UK, he joined Montagu in 2020 as a management accountant.
In the HR department, Hannah Riches has been appointed head of HR operations. She has been at Montagu for almost three years as HR manager, after holding a similar role for three years at NEX Group. Alongside Riches, Achint Kaur Mann has been promoted to HR manager after spending a year at the firm as HR adviser. Mann joined Montagu in 2022 after almost four years as HR associate at GIC.
Additionally, Jan Ohlendorf and Mads Møller Jørgensen have been appointed as investment managers, and Suzanne Ryan promoted to head of office services.
This string of promotions is the latest people development at Montagu, after the firm recently brought on a new general counsel.
Earlier this year, The Drawdown spoke to Montagu’s CFO and partner, Louise Denning, as she reflected on her first year in the role.
