Oaktree’s VP for legal affairs departs
Oaktree capital management’s vice-president for legal affairs, Eamonn McDonald, has left the firm to join Deutsche Beteiligungs AG in Luxembourg as managing director of the German GP’s new office.
McDonald’s move comes after six years at Oaktree, which he joined in 2016 as legal counsel. Two years later, he was promoted to assistant vice-president for legal affairs and another two years later to vice-president.
Prior to his time at Oaktree, he had a brief stint as an associate for corporate and private equity manners at Etude Bonn & Schmitt, after a short time as associate in the corporate finance group at McCann Fitzgerald.
