Ocorian hires head of global funds
Ocorian has hired Garrett Breen as head of global funds, based in Dublin.
He joins from JP Morgan where he spent the last five and a half years as managing director and head of hedge fund services. Prior to this, he was a founder of fund administration business Quintillion Limited, and was head of fund administration for the business. Before this, Breen held various leadership positions at PFPC International (acquired by Bank of New York Carnegie Mellon) and SEI Investments.
In his new role, reporting to global head of services lines and business development, Mike Hughes, Breen will lead the development of Ocorian’s technology-led funds business. He will work with clients to define their requirements and build administration solutions.
“Garrett will be an essential part of Ocorian’s funds leadership team,” commented Hughes. “He has deep industry expertise coupled with a track record of delivering technology-led services. We are a people and technology-led business and Garrett’s client focus and knowledge of the core details of the fund services space will be crucial in aligning our global teams and driving new business development for Ocorian in our expanding fund service line.”
Breen is the seventh hire for the firm so far this year. In April, Ocorian named Andrew Stewart, Natasha Head, Vivienne Fitzpatrick, William Turmann and Chris Mayfield as business development directors. This was followed by Hughes, who joined the firm in June.
