by Krystal Scanlon 28 November 2019

Ogier’s Luxembourg Funds team has promoted managing associate Virginie Gonella to the newly created role of counsel.

In her new position, Gonella will provide advice to PE clients on the establishment and financing of domestic and cross-border regulated and unregulated Luxembourg vehicles, an Ogier spokesperson told The Drawdown. She will also advise on structuring cross border acquisitions in all areas of corporate law.

Gonella’s corporate background has seen her assist institutional clients, top tier private equity houses, investment funds, small and mid-sized companies as well as high net worth individuals.

“Virginie has consistently provided excellent service to longstanding clients of the firm,” said Daniel Richards, Luxembourg practice partner. “She is hard working and technically sharp in funds and regulatory matters, and her well-deserved progression to counsel recognises that talent and contribution.”

Gonella has been with Ogier’s Luxembourg office since it opened in 2012.
