PAI hires new head of ESG and sustainability

by The Drawdown team 18 October 2022

PAI Partners has expanded its ESG function with the appointment of Denise Odaro as head of ESG and sustainability, based in Paris. Odaro will also be a member of the firm’s senior operations team, the PAI Performance Group.

She joins the firm from International Finance Corporation, the private sector arm of the World Bank Group, where she served as head of investor relations and sustainable finance coordination.

With over two decades of experience in ESG and sustainable finance, Odaro has been a member of various boards and advisory committees, including the London Stock Exchange’s Sustainable Finance Advisory Group and Cornell University’s Emerging Market Institute. She has also chaired the Steering Committee of the Green, Social and Sustainability-linked Bonds Principle, hosted by the International Capital Market Association.

In her new role, Odaro will lead efforts to integrate ESG into PAI's policies, processes and outcomes, at both the firm and portfolio levels.

Her appointment increases PAI’s ESG team to four professionals across Paris, London and Munich. The firm currently manages €25.4bn of dedicated buyout funds.
