PE vs ESG
Private equity’s historical success has in part been driven by the factors that make it an attractive space to work in. The industry offers high levels of freedom and flexibility, a fast pace and the opportunity to be unique (or in PE parlance ‘differentiated’).
These pull factors attract certain personality types, namely those who are ambitious; seeking extrinsic (financial) rewards, competitive, quick-minded, confident, doers (not thinkers), rational and objective.
