Profile: Bart Elema, Waterland Private Equity

by Krystal Scanlon 24 January 2022

The Drawdown (TDD): You joined Waterland in 2003 as finance director, before being promoted to CFO & risk officer (2008) and subsequently partner (2015). How have your role and responsibilities evolved?

Bart Elema (BE): When I joined in 2003, the firm was completely different to what it is today. Back then we’d used the same founding office since 1999, with six investment professionals and one office manager.
