The Drawdown: You are one of Limerston’s founding partners – what is the firm’s origin story?

Martim Avillez (MA): Joao Rosa and I met when we were both working as analysts at Schroder Salomon Smith Barney, now Citi, in the early 2000s. We eventually parted ways professionally but always kept in touch, and always discussed doing something together later down the line.

Joao Rosa met James Paget, our fellow founding partner, in 2007.
