Proposed ESG disclosures open for consultation

The three European Supervisory Authorities (EBA, EIOPA and ESMA, known as the ESAs) have launched a consultation on proposed ESG disclosure standards for financial services.

There is currently no standardised approach to reporting on ESG practices, but investors have been pushing for more high-quality information. Different interpretations of sustainability, environmental and social impacts has led firms to create their own reporting frameworks.
