The regulatory landscape of 2023 should see the finalisation of several undertakings long underway, as SFDR, AIFMD and AML will see amendments to the legislative texts spelling them out.

Amid varying ESG definitions across major jurisdictions, AIFMD reforms, the protection of retail consumers becoming an increasing concern for the UK regulator and heightened sensitivity towards AML against the wider geopolitical and macroeconomic backdrop, we take a look at the major obstacles on the legislative journey this year.
