ScaleUp’s former FD joins FSC
Financial Services Capital (FSC) has appointed Kirstyn Lowry-Corry to the newly-created role of finance director, based in London.
She joins from ScaleUp Capital, where she had been finance director since March 2020 and was responsible for the firm’s finance function. In July, ScaleUp announced that Tej Shah had replaced her as FD, having joined from VC firm Accel.
Prior to ScaleUp, Lowry-Corry spent seven-and-a-half years at Montagu Private Equity, initially as fund accountant manager before being promoted to portfolio manager and subsequently controller. Before this, she spent three years at chartered accountancy firm Saffery Champness, where she started her career.
In her new role at FSC, Lowry-Corry will work with COO Chris Doukaki, and head up the firm’s finance function. Additionally, she will work on ESG and deal execution.
“We are excited to welcome Kirstyn to our expanding team, providing valuable support and leadership to our finance function as we seek to continue deploying capital and generating strong returns for our investors,” commented Matt Hansen, managing partner at FSC. “The next few years will be an extremely exciting time for FSC and we look forward to adding further to our team in the coming months.”
Lowry-Corry is a chartered accountant and a member of Level 20.
Founded in 2020, FCS invests in mid-market financial services businesses in Europe, with enterprise values between €50m-€200m, across insurance, banking, wealth management and payment sectors.
