Securitize acquires Onramp Invest

Tokenisation tech provider Securitize has acquired digital asset wealth platform Onramp Invest, following the partnership between the two companies announced in March 2023.

The acquisition will allow registered investment advisers (RIAs) to instantaneously offer private equity, credit and secondaries investments to their clients.

"Our acquisition of Onramp is another big step forward in expanding investor access to top-performing alternative assets and in democratising private capital markets. Onramp already offered RIAs easy access to digital assets, so it is a very natural extension to offer them tokenised alternative assets to complement their portfolios," commented Securitize CEO Carlos Domingo.

Securitize has been offering tokenised securities in Europe since July 2023, when it started issuing digital asset security tokens for the Spanish real estate investment trust through the Avalanche public blockchain.
