SFDR comes into effect

by Krystal Scanlon 10 March 2021

Following the European Supervisory Authorities’ ((EBA, EIOPA and ESMA) consultation paper in April 2020 on ESG disclosures, the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR) comes into effect from today.

What is SFDR?

The SFDR is part of the wider project by the EU’s Capital Markets Union, which aims to define a harmonised ESG framework for European financial services firms in a bid to prevent greenwashing.
