by Krystal Scanlon 25 March 2020

SS&C has acquired Captricity, a machine learning solution that translates paper and handwritten documents into a digital format.

California-based Captricity is the computer software company behind the Vidado data transformation platform.

The acquisition adds 30-full-time employees in Oakland, Boulder, Colorado and New York City.

Captricity’s Vidado is a cloud-based artificial intelligence-driven automation platform that claims to identify, digitise, validate and enrich data better than optical chapter recognition technologies or humans.
